Welcome to St. Cyprian Children's Center. Here at St. Cyprian Children's we aim to provide safe, affordable and quality care for children ages 2 1/2 - 5 years old. St. Cyprian Children's Center is affectionally known a 3C's. In the year 2000 the name St. Cyprian Children's Center was born as a result of the consolidation of Transfiguration of Our Lord and St. Carthage Catholic elementary schools.
St. Cyprian Children's Center is a non-profit community oriented Catholic child care center. We are state licensed and accepts Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and most job related reimbursement child care assistant and subsidized payment programs.
Presently, the center holds five classrooms. Our program is designed to facilitate the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, language and the spiritual development of the child. We are a Catholic (non-profit) institution, the children will be taught about God and Jesus Christ. We celebrate Christian Holidays and read biblical stories.
The Center operates Monday thru Friday, from 6:30a.m. until 5:45p.m. The center is open all year around with the exception of Christmas break, National Holidays, two teacher in service days, and our annual two week closing for summer vacation; Our two weeks vacation closing is the last two weeks of August through Labor Day. The Center reopens the Tuesday after Labor Day. This will begin the start of our new school year.
St. Cyprian Children's Center offers catholic teachings, cultural awareness, nutritional meals, field trips, arts & crafts, music, reading/math/phonics readiness. Meals are included in our weekly tuition fee. We serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack daily.
Because our children are the most precious people in our lives, we must always be aware how they are developing. Our center works collaboratively with Elwyn (an early intervention service program for children). We know that early years are the critical years for the development and growth in children.
Our staff is experienced with many years of child care experience. Teachers have an Associates/Bachelors degrees or a CDA. We are participants in the Stars Program and our curriculum reflects the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.
